This week Tito Beraun passed away after a battle with cancer. Some Glenhuntly members may wonder who Tito was but those who have been using our track for 10 or 15 years will remember a small man with a little boy who both put a great deal of time and energy into improving the young boys throwing skills.
The young boy was of course Pat Beraun, long time Club member, Committee Member and Team Manager. Pat’s enthusiasm for athletics generally, but throwing more specifically, came from that energy and commitment of his Father and our Club has indeed been the beneficiary. Pat and Tito were very close and undoubtedly he will be greatly missed.
All Glenhuntly Members and the Committee extend their deepest sympathies to Pat and his family on this very sad occasion.
